Receding Hairline - Hairline Restoration Turkey

Receding Hairline in Men

Receding hairline in men is a consequence of androgenic baldness. It is possible to regain the receding hairline by hair transplantation.

Hairline Restoration

One of the key elements of a hair transplant procedure is to create a total natural hairline as the patients expect undetectable results. Unfortunately it is not enough just to place hair follicular units to achieve this goal. Above all, it is necessary to know the natural characteristics of the frontal hairline and determine the hairline restoration strategy according to the anatomical landmarks.

The benchmarks of the hairline restoration strategy and thus the receding hairline treatment for men and women are obviously different.

Many factors contribute to achieving a successful hairline restoration result:

  • Placing 1, 2, 3 and 4-hair follicular units in the desired zones to ensure a selective distribution of hair grafts

  • Reproducing a natural looking frontal hairline by micro and macro irregularity

  • Placing the hair grafts in the right regrowth angle and the right direction

  • Determining the correct number of grafts and the density of the micro-slots that will accommodate the grafts

  • Determining the correct placement of the midline frontal point

  • Determining  the shape and contour of the frontal hairline

The front hairline of the temporal region also recedes due to hair loss. In this case, advancing this line with the frontal hair line should be a part of the hairline restoration strategy.

Receding Hairline in Women

The frontal hairline is preserved in most of the female pattern baldness cases. The affected areas usually involve the top of the scalp and the upper parietal areas. Some patients require frontal or temporal hairline restoration.

Unlike men, high hairline in women can be congenital or can be related to traction alopecia, trauma or cosmetic facial surgery.

There are many key differences between female and male frontal hairline. The fontal hairline in women is more complex compared with men. Only a good understanding of these differences will allow a good hairline restoration result.

The main differences are:

  • The frontal hairline in men is farther from the glabella and has a square or an "M" shape. The typical frontal hairline in women has a oval shape.

  • The female frontal hairline has more variable shapes, more cowlicks that the hair grows in different direction and orientation.

In some women, frontal hairline has an M-shape. This type of hairline creates an older and more masculine look; and tends to make the face appear larger.

A hair transplant procedure advancing the frontal hairline can reduce the width of the forehead and restore the oval of the face with full respect to the feminine appearance.
